folding edges to centre
Long Form
Broad plains of my existence
Open out from narrow lanes
And I try to span the distance
To explore this new terrain
But horizons' swift divergence
Has me stretching once again.
And so I seek
A new technique
-- folding edges to the centre --
Gathering adventures
Both mundane and sublime
Fishing kraken from the trenches
Luring eagles from their climb
Crazily I venture
To encompass ALL in time
Zigzagging though
Is too darn slow
-- folding edges to the centre --
to be continued... ?
Continued? Or running off at a tangent? Both? Settled perspective eludes me...
So when you hear me ranting
Or expounding clumsy verse
Conflating works with ruins
Saints with crooks or even worse
You may know what I am doing
Though to some it seems perverse
A path oblique
Could be unique
-- folding edges to the centre --
