Pork Hocks with Vinegar and Ginger. This is based on a Cantonese recipe, traditionally offered to visitors in the month following the birth of a baby. Made with Chicken instead of Pork, it's considered healthful for the new mother. I'm certain that eating this promotes health as well as tasting luscious.
I couldn't make almond biscuits without giving the nod to a recent family favourite. Chocolate Almond Macaroons
It started when a friend at work asked me if I had a recipe for some small Italian biscuits covered in flaked almonds. The Italian bakery just down the road from me makes such a biscuit, and they're so delicious that I thought finding out how they're made sounded like a very good idea. And so the Biscuit Quest began...

A strong, glorious kinesthetic sense is the very fabric of self-awareness.

there's something about bryan - february 2004
I'm going to see Bryan Ferry tonight! ...and The Pretenders and Bonnie Raitt and Robert Cray, some of whom I'd be more inclined to pay to see, if I were, in fact, paying to go to this concert. But I'm not - ToTD's got free tickets, and she's giving me one! Yay!
That's what got me to thinking... after tonight, I'll have seen Bryan Ferry three times - and each time it's been on tickets I've been given unexpectedly. Is it something about Bryan?
And she will always carry on
Something is lost
But something is found
They will keep on speaking her name
Some things change
Some stay the same
ignition.4: a series of duets - june 2003
ADT's in-house season. 10 new short dance works, by 10 choreographers. There were some interesting interpretations of the theme, "duets".
face2face by Kate Champion - may 2003
A solo performance of modern dance / movement theatre. Kate's brilliant. She danced parts of my life that I've been struggling to understand and now I GET IT! Some things are difficult to bring into focus right up close, but seeing them out there and recognising them is a blast. face2face
Taiko Drummers - march 2003
In 1994(?), I went to see a Taiko drum group from Japan as part of the Adelaide Festival of Arts. I don't remember the group's name, but they were billed as The Demon Drummers of Japan. Leezee went with me. He'd been to many theatre, dance, music performances with me as a child, but his interest had waned for a few years at that time. It was a fantastic reconnection - he still talks about it!
There's a local group, that I saw at a food and wine festival in Norwood.
